Valley Baptist Preschool was founded in November 1981. Mrs. Jeanette Casey was the founding Director. Our legacy continues with a strong and adaptive program that includes One’s through PreKindergarten classes.

Our program is dedicated to providing a quality program and a supportive ministry to parents in the community. Our teachers plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities to meet the physical, mental, social, emotional and spiritual needs of children within a loving, Christian environment, where each child can grow spiritually as well as educationally “in wisdom and stature and in favour with God and man.” (Luke 2:52)

Childhood is a unique and valuable stage in the human life cycle. Our paramount responsibility is to provide care and education in settings that are safe, healthy, nurturing and responsive to each child. We are committed to supporting children’s development and learning; respecting individual differences; and helping children lean to live, play, and work cooperatively. We are also committed to promoting children’s self-awareness, competence, self-worth, resiliency, and physical well-being.

The goals of Valley Baptist Preschool are:

To provide a quality program that implements developmentally appropriate activities to meet the needs of the preschooler at their own level.

To provide a program where teachers plan activities to meet the physical, mental, social, emotional, and spiritual needs of the children in a safe, loving Christian environment.

To provide a supportive ministry to the parents and families.

Philosophy & Mission

Educational

Our curriculum addresses the whole child through developmentally appropriate activities and experiences. Our lesson plans include experiences with language, literature, mathematics, science, technology, engendering, creative art, social studies, fine and gross motor actives, all within a biblical lens.

Inclusion

Valley Baptist Preschool promotes and supports each child’s developmental potential by utilizing earl intervention strategies, family involvement, individualized lesson planning, and a supportive, highly trained faculty and staff. We will partner with our families as a team to meet the individual needs of your child and confirm that Valley Baptist Preschool is the best piece of learning for each child.

What We Offer

Curicculum

Valley Baptist Preschool combines two different curricula for our students. First, we use the Creative Curriculum published by Teaching Strategies. We also incorporate the Weekday Early Education (WEE) Christian curriculum published by Life Way Christian Resources. Each day children learn basic life skills, reading, math, and study the Bible. Learning areas in the classroom include dramatic play, manipulatives, science, blocks, creative arts, music, puzzles, library, discovery table and computers in classrooms for 3 years olds and older.

Programs

One's Program
Our goal is to give babies the skills that will serve as the building blocks for a lifetime of learning in a safe and nurturing “home away from home”
Two's Program
We believe that children learn best through experiences. Our Two’s program is structured with fun activities that excite and give the comfort and confidence to develop friendships, self-esteem and curiosity.
Three's Program
As our children gain confidence in their independence, as well as excitement in daily discoveries, we will expand their world of learning, sharing, and exploring through a blend of music, art, movement and the early education fundamentals they’ll need to continue their learning journey.
Four's Program
With more confidence, our Four year old’s may feel ready to take on the world. Our program aims to enhances that confidence by encouraging problem solving and lifelong learning skills through literacy, math, science, and social studies concepts.
Prekindergarten Program
Our PreK is designed to launch our learners into school by teaching letters, words, math concepts and valuable social skills. We prepare for this adventure through small group and independent play in an organized and fun atmosphere.

What Our Families are Saying

The smell, the love, the warmth is the same as I enter the doors each morning and walk past the library and past the colorful painted hallways. The staff works together as a team, and individually focuses on holding up their end of the commitment to deliver a quality experience for each child. The religious part is delivered in the form of the true
love that God shares graciously shared through the teachers and taught to the children to share with others. We keep coming back. It all started when I had my first child, I was looking out the window from work and could see and hear kids laughing on the playground. It was the proximity to work that made us choose Valley. We have moved our office 25 minutes north and we still drive down to drop-off and pick up my two daughters. I feel that my child is safe and in caring, nurturing hands at Valley.

I chose Valley Baptist Preschool because my sister in law had known some of the staff here when Braelyn originally started attending and she was aware that the program was a wonderful program and I trusted her judgment. You can not just let your child be anywhere especially when they don’t have a huge vocabulary or voice to speak. Braelyn attended at age 1. Valley Baptist is very clean and cleanliness is important to me along with location. The other reason I like Valley and continued with my child attending the preschool is because the staff is very welcoming. Our children get to actually learn and it’s not just baby sitting.
